Brabus has worked up a version of the new Mercedes R 500 that turns the sedate luxo-van into a hauler of executives who were supposed to be in Berlin this morning, but Maximilian had that little problem in Munich with the dead hooker, which has unfortunately delayed their trip for a few hours. No worries, mates, the Brabus folks increased displacement of the 5.0-liter V8 to 6.1 liters and added performance cams (in the top tuning stage), boosting horsepower to 445 and torque to 468 lbs.-ft — just the thing for a high-speed run up the 'bahn at 165 mph. Suspension tweaks, 22" light-alloys and aerodynamic body mods — along with a b nch of interior options, including audio, video and an "office on wheels" package with powered tables and computing systems — are also part of the plan. Lawyers, guns and money sold separately.
