Screaming twin cams begging for mercy aren't just for hachi drift cars. Sitting at the kids' table at the Ford's SEMA exhibit was this rally-inspired 1967 Volvo Amazon Kombi-69. The 2.8-liter turbocharged inline six under the hood allegedly kicks out 600 hp to the rear wheels, through a Toyota Supra tranny. All this helped the wagon win the title of Sweden's Hottest Volvo at the Vall kra Custom Car meet, near Landskrona, which is home to more hot Swedes than the Baby Dolls lounge in Gothenburg. Finally! A SEMA car that I wouldn't be embarrased to be seen in. That's nice.
UNCLE BUMBECK! YOU'VE ARRIVED! AND IN GLORIOUS FORM! YES!
This is probably the most perfect wagon on the face of the earth. I'd even choose this over the E49 540i Sportwagon.
O M F G !!!!! The logical conclusion of my favorite Volvo.
Have it gift-wrapped and sent to my rooms immediately!
Davey -- you forgot to shout "HATCHBACK."
I think I just came a little! That's just dead sexy.
Wife's been after me to build her some sort of Volvo hot-rod for years, and this will just add fuel to the fire...
Jonny, this car's about as "hatchback" as your car is "wagon." Which is to say, "not very much."
Wow...we have a winner!
Nobody mentioned the rims? Ugh! needs some old-school fat-tire muscle-car rims.
