Back in the late 1960s, the Hurst Olds 442 was the benchmark of performance- enhancing relationships between automakers and aftermarket parts suppliers. The combination was unbelievably cool (at least until the crapwagon Hurst Olds Cutlass 442 of the early '80s came along). Hurst also teamed up with Chrysler on the 1970 Chrysler 300 Hurst, which was an unwieldy boat of an "executive" coupe, which was not quite track-worthy. Now, more than making up for past mistakes, Hurst and DaimlerChrysler have fashioned the Chrysler 300C Hurst Edition Concept out of a Hemi 300C. The Hurst C will have a 340hp version of Chrysler's 5.7 liter Hemi V-8, along with other enhancements, and will be priced around $36,000 fully loaded. Grandpa, what's an Oldsmobile?
