While you're over at German Car Fans checking out the Volkswagen Fox spy photos, look to the left. Mercedes-Benz unveiled its "Bionic" design concept, a car barely alive — they can rebuild it... (Damn you, evil 1970s television.)

Inspired by the boxfish, the concept was created to explore the potentialities of bionics, or the augmentation or replacement of anatomical features with electronic or electromechanical ones. In this case, DaimlerChrysler analyzed the anatomical structure of a boxfish and applied the findings directly to the design and production of the concept — boxfish fans will note the telltale aerodynamic contours. The concept will premiere at this year s DaimlerChrysler Innovation Symposium in Washington.
