World Car Fans posted this promo video of Chevrolet Europe's diesel-powered WTCC racer in an on-track context at Estoril racetrack in Portugal. It's not as much a showcase of the car's capabilities — which we're still waiting to see — as a show-off of its nouveau touring-car looks in its likely habitat. And we're not so sure the soundtrack includes its oil-burner mill. But other than that ...

That was painful. If you're going to overdub revving to a race car going around a racetrack at around 25mph, at least dub it in at the right times.

I liked everything about this car until I saw this video. Apparently while in motion the WTCC looks like a Mazda MPV whose face got caught on a barbwire fence -- gah.
Diesel-powered race cars don't sound like tractors:
The front of the WTCC concept does look a bit too tall... it looks like it needs to lose about six inches off the bottom of the car.
