What's the ideal vacation for a couple of mid-90s British hawt babes? Why, buy a Peugeot 106 and ship it to the only country on earth where getting even the smallest problem fixed will be an absolute impossibility. Then use your Peugeot- right-hand-drive, of course- to take a road trip in the desert Southwest, where a breakdown can result in your flesh becoming a tasty meal for scavenger birds. Oh, and throw away your alarm clock!

Absolutely fabulous.
My god I remember that. I was 13. I really liked the Brunette. I remember thinking that Americans couldn't possibly have thought that that 106 was an entire car, more like something that fell off a much bigger one.
And Belinda Carlisle never, ever dates.
Does it?
I remember this ad.
Leeds has some of the worst roads ever, there's more craters than on the moon.
Betcha couldn't get a wrong-hand drive frogmobile past port security today, even for a swell TV advert.
I had to read that three times to figure out how two 90 year old British women could be hawt babes, and what they had to do with the ladies in the still.
Oh yeah, and what everyone else said, except that I don't remember this ad. Don't think it got much air play in Indiana.
Did the 80's last longer in Britain?
@Seth L: I was there this summer...it is still aint over, they just found Eurodisco
That final shot, on the bridge is Burro Creek, along the road between Wickenburg and I40 (on the way from Phoenix to Vegas). One of my absolute favorite drives.
@Seth L: Yeah, only 7 more years to go and we'll be in 1990.
What do you think of our Ultravox?
@Rust-MyEnemy:
Ultravox weren't from Leeds.
On the other hand, The Mekons, The Gang of Four...
Near neighbours The Human League's LP 'Travelogue' included the much underrated 'Toyota City', car/music interface fans.
Early signs of Euro-Political-Correctness too:
The alarm clock tossed from the back of the car towards the dessert in a devil-may-care fashion lands in a garbage can!
