Success! We were far too caught up in the Chicago Auto Show's goings on to spend time locating what hardcore enthusiasts would consider the Chicago-style hot dog. But leaving the city dogless was no option for us OCD types, so we settled for a decent also-ran, according to locals. The dog in question came courtesy of a Gold Coast Hot Dogs outlet at Midway airport, where we spent part of a four-hour flight delay last night sampling a jumbo with everything. The verdict? (In our best Sipowitz) "Damn good."
