To be honest, we wouldn't know fashion designer Richard Tyler from a sack of Florida oranges. (He doesn't have a Target line, so how famous could he be?) We do know (much abliged, Google) that he's a recipient of the coveted Michelangelo Shoe Award, which sure sounds impressive, considering most of our own shoes were designed by Chuck Taylor. In a long tradition of having such folks futz with new cars for various retail reasons, Tyler has accessorized a Saturn Sky that's being sold in an online auction for charity. The Richard Tyler Sky comes with Cognac Tri-Coat Frost paint color, seatback embroidery, machined sill plates, embroidered windscreen with beaded detail, floor mat embroidery, instrument gauge cluster logo and a set of Richard Tyler luggage. It's already made its reserve at $30,000, and the auction ends March 31, 2006, so act now lest the trophy significant other go without for the spring season. [Thanks to Jace for the tip.]
