Mazda said it would, and it has. The company received permission from the Japanese government to begin leasing its RX-8 Hydrogen RE, a rotary-powered, dual-fuel model that runs on either gasoline or hydrogen, in Japan. Mazda has already signed lease deals with two energy companies (of one car each), and plans to deliver the cars in March 2006. Want one, Danielsan? Be prepared to cough forward $3,558 per month for the privilege. Upside? No lines at the world's loneliest service station.
