We never saw the movie "I Am Sam," but we cannot look at this new Volvo/Mack hybrid-drive truck without thinking of Sean Penn as Sam, flying around a corner and slamming face first into the linoleum. We'd imagine this technology will mean better fuel economy for the largest and must suck-u-lent of vehicles, but damned if it's all not just shot to hell now.
