    Hydrogen-Fueled Motorcycle

Check out this new emissions neutral vehicle (ENV), a technically sterile name for a motorcycle that runs on compressed hydrogen gas. The bike is powered by a 6kW electric motor that can propell it from zero to its top speed of 50mph in 12 seconds, at a range of 100 miles on a tank of hydro. Because the motor is completely silent, safety advocates have asked the company to add some kind of artificial engine noise to warn pedestrians. We're suggesting a friction-based system involving three baseball cards jammed between the spokes and held to the frame with a clothespin, an invention we think came out of MIT in the late 1940s.
