The inimitable English Russia has a gallery from Russia's Aerograph 2007 show, featuring a smattering of obsessively-artified vehicles. Sadly, there's only one ZAZ among the bunch, but as Murilee is wont to say, "...And one Zaporozhets to rule them all!" In fact, most of the vehicles are of German origin, suggesting that while they may have turned around the Germans at Volgograd, Russia's well-heeled would rather drive Mercs than Volgas. I love it, I love it, I love it! All we need is a six pack of beer and watch the sun set to the beltline of the van!! Wait, we might need more than a six-pack for that!!
How can the Russians neglect the ZAZ so?
Murilee.. the chick who knows about even the most obscure autos..... .... wish I was better looking, I'd ask if she was cute =) lol..... >jk<
@BartMack: Trust me, Bart. You'll be pleasantly surprised.
I've got to disagree with your police work there, Mr. Johnson.
The glut of German cars are likely due to all those rentals that disappeared behind the Wall in the '90s after the Wall fell down.
Oh, wait, the Wall was down...make that "...disappeared behind the Curtain..." (Pay no attention to the thugs behind the Curtain)
BTW, all you need to watch the sunset over the beltline is the dashboard light. Right, Mr. Aday?
@BartMack: "Chick?" Uh, dude...
@MurileeMartin: Oh, this is rich.
@PeteJäyhawk™: Do I really need to explain the pseudonym?
@MurileeMartin: No, of course not. BartMack, on the other hand...
On second thought, let him wonder.
@MurileeMartin: I googled it when you started here, all that came up was that S&M book that I wish I'd remembered to post a link to before you did.
I am neither punk nor Californian, so I resign myself to missing at least half of the references here.
