Wouldn't it be nice to have the Ford/Microsoft Sync system in all aspects of life and not just a 2008 Ford Focus? We know we'd prefer it pretty much anywhere in life rather than a Focus. But, we've got to settle where we can get it — sort of like these Ford commercial created folks who have found life just isn't as easy when they're not using Sync.
Life, Like The Focus, Can Be Made Better With Sync

Be prepared to be inundated with Sync commercials.
that's actually a good commercial. wow.
So they're saying that using Sync actually makes you stupider? I'll admit, I'd never thought too highly of Ford drivers, but maybe I had the causal relationship completely backwards.
Yes Ford, the gizmo is very nice but how about making a car that's fun to drive?
I didn't get a close look at the steering wheel controls. Is it "control", "alt" on the left and "delete" on the right or the other way around?
@estern: FTW!
@estern: How was this not Comment Of The Day?
shit. Jim Farley is going to have a Mark Field day with the ad agencies who do this garbage. I agree with Will's post. This makes Ford drivers look like complete idiots. And I won't even start with bagging on the whole "wouldn't life be better with (insert product here)" or "why can't every thing be as (dependable, strong, sweet smelling, tough, ect) as (insert product here). Why do the advertising people call themselves "creatives" when they just rehash everything that's already been done. They should call themselves "recyclers". The Microsoft Sync product does seem pretty cool, though.
Garcia still sucks.
@Freaky Styley: Thank you. I thought it was a home run.
@estern:
Someone with some photoshop skills needs to get on this right away. ...ooh and how about a BSD on the center console!
@pennywise: Better living through chemistr... oh, nevermind...
i like how this is a low-quality youtube video, so the voice in the ad sounds like microsoft sam 9or maybe that's my headphones dying), which brings back wonderful memories about how hilariously bad microsoft voice command programs have been... though, i really doubt they'd be putting it in cars if they hadn't worked some bugs out of it...
it's too bad ford doesn't make any wedge-shaped cars, so you can't buy a black one with sync and pretend it's KITT...
@estern: lmao
as Wert will attest I'm sure the Sync is pretty neat with a single button to activate the voice command on the wheel. And when you say something it actually does what you tell it. It's actually executed quite well.
@smokyburnout: I don't know if it's so important to have a wedge-shaped car as it is a shiny black one with the red strobe.
I can pretty confidently say that I will, at some point in the future, have a car so equipped.
Good product demonstration, but my biz partners' Acura voice command is hilariously innaccurate.
Quick review on the HATE/NOT TERRIBLE/GOOD/FERRARI-SHELL scale: Not Terrible.
