Approach the higher speed roads as we should in the US...use the left lane for a quick pass, then get the fuck back over. It’s a passing lane ONLY. And if you want to pass but see a car coming up behind at a high rate of speed, wait for them to pass, then you can do so. It’s very organized. Read more

My main issue was motorway driving over there. Going anywhere near Milan is just pure chaos, although the worst for me is the motorway from Monaco to Turin. Drove one of these from Milan to Lauterbrunnen. It was amazing, but sadly the passes over the mountains were closed do to weather (so the Furka Pass remains on my to do list).
