Following the super low-volume Aston Martin One-77 and Vulcan, Aston has a new ultra-rare and bespoke model to showcase: the Vantage GT12 Roadster. And before you reach for your checkbook, don’t bother—this is a one off for a very wealthy customer.
Based on the über cool Aston Martin Vantage GT12 Coupe (formerly known as the GT3 until Porsche threw a fit about it) the Roadster is powered by the same 6.0-liter, 600 PS V12 with a seven-speed gearbox.
It has magnesium inlet manifolds and a titanium exhaust system. It took nine months for Aston’s customization service, Q by Aston Martin, to create. Visually, it’s another achingly beautiful Aston Martin. Can you say you expected anything else?
This is the first time that a customer has been able to request such a unique Aston Martin one-off. I can’t even begin to imagine how many zeroes you would need to tack on at the end of a monetary amount to even get something like this started.
I suppose you also purchase the bragging rights, too: “Aston Martin made this for me and only me, blah blah blah.” I hear those are priceless.
