Haas Formula, that North Carolinian team with that guy who squirts motor oil on his joints, was considering joining Formula 1 in 2015. Not anymore! They're shooting for 2016.
The report comes from Motorsports.com. Read the full story right here, but the important quote comes from Mr. Haas himself and it comes down to scheduling.
"It's already June so it's just seven months away and the timing issues are starting to get real crazy," Haas added. "We have a list of names, but the problem is a lot of times they're already working for somebody and they can't get out of their contracts for three to six months so there's a lot of those contractual issues that have to be resolved before someone can come over."
This isn't really a delay, as Haas initially said they were planning on 2015 or 2016. Now we just know they're aiming for the latter.
