Russian Plane Crashes Into Highway After Failed LandingS

We've got some sad news this morning from Russia following reports that a passenger airliner went off the runway during its landing at Moscow's Vnukovo airport and crashed into a highway, leaving four dead and four injured, according to news reports.

The CBC reports that the crash occurred around 4:35 p.m. local time. Officials there aren't sure exactly what happened yet, but they say that the plane made a hard landing and caught fire.

The CBC says unconfirmed reports indicate that the plane was coming from the Czech Republic. Only eight people were aboard at the time.

The BBC has some video of the wreckage here. We'll update more as we get it too.

Update: Someone captured this on dash cam video, which you can see here.
