10.) Janis Joplin's Porsche 356
Suggested By: For Sweden
Why it's coketastic: Plenty of hippies and yippies painted up their VWs in psychedelic murals in the ‘60s and ‘70s. Janis Joplin, true rock star that she was, painted up a Porsche instead. That's class right there.

9.) Elton John's golf cart
Suggested By: Autojunkie
Why it's coketastic: While this isn't strictly a car, it deserves mention. Surely every time Elton John stepped into this thing, he was already wearing absurdly large sunglasses. Just to be sure that everyone knew this is Elton motherf'in John rolling up on them in the sparkly gold golf cart, he put gigantic sunglasses on it, too. Again, classy.

8.) Ted Nugent's zebra Bronco
Suggested By: KSUENGINEERING
Why it's coketastic: Leave it to Ted Nugent to paint his offroader like a zebra, kit it out with heavy duty suspension, and go around shooting things to death.

7.) John Bonham's "Andy's Instant T"
Suggested By: pooter220
Why it's coketastic: So you're the crazy drummer in the biggest band in the world. Awesome. What car do you buy? A cushy Cadillac or Rolls? No, you buy the rawest, most comical of all hot rods, a hacked-up Model T Ford.

6.) ZZ Top's Eliminator
Suggested By: LyleLanley
Why it's coketastic: Zed Zed Top built pretty much the elemental hot rod for a generation with this thing. The chrome, the candy apple red paint, and the leggy blondes stepping out in every video was about as perfect a tribute the ‘80s ever gave to the 1950s, its favorite retro decade.

5.) John Lennon's psychedelic Rolls Royce
Suggested By: Monsterajr
Why it's coketastic: How contradictory is it to paint your car in the free love, free everything psychadelic hippy spirit, but have the car be the most expensive symbol of capitalism in the world, a Rolls Royce? Lennon could get away with anything in those days.

4.) Van Halen's "Hot For Teacher" hot rod
Suggested By: Oxus
Why it's coketastic: If it wasn't tacky enough to commission a pussy magnet yellow hot rod with extra room in the back for more groupies, Van Halen went and put the name of their single on the side of the car. That's like wearing a name tag to a house party.
3.) The Voxmobile
Suggested By: Jones Foyer
Why it's coketastic: It doesn't get much more over the top than building two giant guitars into the side of your car. Designed by George Barris as a promotional vehicle for Vox's guitars and amps, the Voxmobile was like a portable concert stage, with 32 guitar plug ins, a keyboard and a giant amp built into the Shelby Cobra-powered car. Jimmy Bryant, "the Fastest Guitar in the Country," used it for a while back in the 1960s.

2.) The Monkeemobile
Suggested By: HiramJahoovafat
Why it's coketastic: The Monkeemobile has something of a tortuous history, but there's no denying how awesome it is. Come on, look at that giganto roof and the 6-71 blower sticking out of the hood. Even for a pre-fab pop band from the ‘60s, this was pretty amazing.

1.) Kid Rock's Nudie Mobile Pontiac Bonneville
Suggested By: Axel-Ripper
Why it's coketastic: This car was built for Hank Williams Jr. by the inimitable Nudie Cohn, who was about as close to a living representation of Americana as humanly possible. Underneath all the silver dollars, saddle leather, guns and those six-foot longhorns up front, you'll find a 1964 Pontiac Bonneville. Kid Rock bought it for not quite a quarter of a million bucks back in 2010 and used it in a few videos. It's about as over the top as any car has ever been.
