A Long Island, N.Y. car dealership caught the whole thing on its security camera: Two would be thieves, unsuccessful in their attempts to steal a 2012 Audi S5 convertible, returned an hour later, set it on fire and fled again.
A tipster who works at Anchor Audi in Lynbrook, N.Y. sent us post-fire photos of the blaze. A still from the security camera shows firefighters putting it out. The two arsonists are still at large, and a third suspect was seen driving them away after they set fire to the $50,000 car. No injuries were reported, and no other cars were damaged.
Lynbrook authorities have asked anyone with information to call tips line at 1-800-244-TIPS.
