Hold on to your luggage, folks, this is the 2013 Audi RS4 Avant. Audi's überwagon gets an upgrade for the next generation visually, while still sticking with a 450-hp version of the company's 4.2-liter V8.
The new RS4 isn't supposed to bow until the Geneva Motor Show next month, but images leaked to AutoBlog.nl and then to GTSpirit. They seem to confirm that this earlier bumper photo was correct.
As you can see in the images, the new RS4 carries over the sedan's sharper, vampire-killing headlights. Add to that an RS4-style front clip with a silver lip and massive inlets to feed the 450 horsepower 4.2-liter V8, which will be mated to Audi's seven-speed, dual-clutch S-tronic transmission.
The package also includes RS-style wheels, boxier fender flares, and the iconic oval exhaust tips. Inside the cabin gets treated with carbon fiber bits and recaro sport seats.
With the Audi RS5 finally coming stateside we'll wish and hope and pray that the wagon makes it here, although we're not betting any of our candy hearts.
C'mon Audi. Be our valentine?
