Ferrari F430: You're with me, tattooed leather!

French artist Phillipe Pasqua created a unique allegory for the blending of man and machine: he covered a Ferrari F430 with leather and tattooed an intricate mural on the cowhide.

The car underneath the animal skin is apparently unmodified. The leatherwork looks to be absolutely flawless; one can only imagine how difficult it was to wrap the mirrors and tuck around the lights. The applied coloration is fantastically grotesque in the high-art sense of the term, mixing Japanese motifs of seas and serpents with Pasqua's signature skulls.

Should you be in Paris before mid-January, the piece is part of the artist's solo show at the Galerie Laurent Strouk.
