What are these models arguing about? Probably the heat. Did I mention it was about 375 degrees F in that hall? It was so hot the models were getting cranky. But still, the Alfa Romeo 4C concept looked promising, even in its new silver-hued skin.

Alfa's Frankfurt concept is a slightly updated version of the mid-engine sports car it first unveiled in Geneva. Since then, it's gotten a new paint job but retained its MiTo GTA engine. That's the 1,750cc turbocharged four producing 200 horsepower, which doesn't sound like much until you consider the company's weight target of 1,875 pounds. That's a power-to-weight ratio of down around Jacky Stewart's ankles.

It also has Alfa's six-speed TCT twin-clutch automated manual, but we won't hold that against it, unless there's no manual, which just can't be possible. It just can't.

Alfa has targeted model year 2013 for the production version, and like the model on the right, they appear to be pretty serious about it.
