Watch The World's Greatest Drag Race

Eleven super cars simultaneously drag racing each other down a quarter-mile of empty airstrip sounds less like reality and more like the product of a car guy's fever dream. But one auto buff book did just that. Here's the epic video.

Because there's certainly no serious reason to put over two million dollars in super cars into a simultaneous drag race other than you can. Which, according to consummate Jalopnik fan-boy, Aussie hair care product spokesperson, and Motor Trend editor-in-chief Angus MacKenzie, that's why they did it. Just because they could.

Sure, works for me — but that's also because I don't run a buff book that's trying to build its brand as being "the world's foremost automotive authority on cars, trucks and SUVs." As an aside, isn't it redundant to say you're the "automotive" authority on cars, trucks and SUVs? I mean, I guess being "the fishing authority on cars, trucks and SUVs" wouldn't make sense.

And there you go — the greatest drag racer in the world — out of these 11 supercars — is the Nissan GT-R. Godzilla does rule all.
