Whether or not you think Xbox Kinect is just a party trick, there's no doubt combining infrared scanning with a traditional wheel controller opens new interface possibilities via head tracking, like letting Forza 4 drivers look deeper into corners. Rad.

The Forza 4 Kinect demo arrives ahead of the game's release announcement expected at the E3 show next week. According to reports, Kinect support won't be a requirement for the game. Forza 4 — whose cover car will be the Ferrari 458 Italia — will also allow Forza 3 players to import their profiles, so those who've earned big garages won't have to start over.

The game's developer has also confirmed a Collector's Edition of Forza 4 and a special car pack included in first production run of Forza 4 that'll reward early buyers. A 1965 Ford Mustang GT, Koenigsegg Agera, Lexus SC300, Porsche RUF RGT-8, and Tesla Roadster Sport are among the cars in the pack.

Expect a big Forza announcement during the Microsoft Press Conference on June 6.

FULL DISCLOSURE: Jalopnik had an editorial tie-up with Turn 10 Studios on Forza Motorsport 3, this game's predecessor, on two DLC packs for the game. We are working on a similar tie-up on Forza Motorsport 4. Although no money has exchanged hands in this relationship, because it might be something you feel could affect our judgment and clarity in covering this game, we felt the transparency was important.
