If you can't make the Paris showing of 17 classic vehicles from designer Ralph Lauren's collection for the typical reasons — busy summer polo schedule, breaking in a new yacht captain, etc., etc. — you can at least hear them.
Lauren allowed the engines from the 17 cars to be recorded, and the clips can be sampled at this site, from the rasp of the 1929 Bentley Blower to the purr of the '55 Jaguar XKD and the wail of a McLaren F1 LM from 1996. Your ears will thank you.
