The great thing about the "good old days" is, typically, they were in the past and so the memories of the bad parts are replaced by vague remembrances of the best moments. Or the "good old days" were good because you benefited from some sort of inequality. For instance, almost no point before the 1960s was the "good old days" in America for anyone who is black. We like to look forward, but we have to admit this photo of classic Toyota does make us pine like robertfoster for the good old days. Hopefully, better days are coming.
