Welcome to Down On The Street, where we admire old vehicles found parked on the streets of the City That Rust Sorta Ignored: Denver, Colorado. Here's proof that the Colorado Rust Monster doesn't have much of an appetite.
Volkswagens of this era tend to be extremely rust-prone; park a Type 3 on the Moon and it would probably have holes in the floorboards after a few years. This one looks pretty solid. I always have a helluva time figuring out the model year on these things; in this case, the bumpers and turn signal lenses coupled with the 1971-72 Rocky Mountain Division sticker seem to indicate a '72 model.
Empi wheels look good on any (air-cooled) VW, regardless of year!
