Call us crazy, but we like Juan Pablo Montoya. For all the man's issues — he can occasionally seem petulant; his NASCAR performance has been less than stellar; his stint in F1 was rife with unnecessary drama — he remains a racer at heart. He is a been-there, done-that, will-drive-anything dude, and his egalitarian approach to motorsport reminds us of heroes past.

It's for that reason that we found ourselves drawn to PatfromGundo's comment in our NASCAR Craigslist post. In that post, we commented on the appearance of a Craigslist ad supposedly written by NASCAR itself. The racing series claimed to be worried for its health and was attempting to organize a pre-death sendoff at a San Francisco bar. Pat chimed in, reminding us of someone that, frankly, we tend to forget about.
