There are after-the-fact clues this Corvette Z06's clutch is doomed: the driver doesn't notice the odor of frying clutch when burning rubber should be there, then pops the trunk to look under the hood. There's much pain in the video.
Nearest we can figure this chach has been pulling crap like this the entire life of the car and the clutch was on the bleeding edge of giving out, combined with a herky-jerky launch and a relentless redline bouncing and the car's clutch was doomed to a smoky death. Yes, there goes $600, oh and the entire cost of a clutch job. We've got a perfect replacement Corvette for these guys
