The Nobel Commission and President Obama received plenty of guff over this year's Nobel Peace Prize. One Dallas-area service shop decided to have some fun with it, offering one free Nobel Peace Prize with each oil change.
Each customer who gets an oil change at Ken Sterling's Horizon Auto Center in Rockwall will receive a certificate containing a Nobel Peace Prize sticker and reading "Conferred for the effort and peaceful intention of getting the oil and filter changed." The marketing gimmick was intended as joke and not necessarily intended to be partisan, though conservatives unsurprisingly think it's hilarious. We think above all it's clever local marketing and an easy draw for overwhelmingly conservative Rockwall County. [Dallas News]
