    GM To Offer 60-Day Money Back Guarantee On All Vehicles

    Channeling Lee Iacoca's "If You Can Find a Better Car, Buy It" ads, new GM chairman Ed Whitacre will be promoting a new 60-day money back guarantee on all GM vehicles starting on Monday.

    The program is intended to restore consumer confidence in GM vehicles post bankruptcy and government bailout and will be applicable to all of GM's remaining brands: Cadillac, Buick, Chevrolet and GMC. We think this is the first time an automaker has offered a 100% refund on all its vehicles pegged to something as nebulous as customer "satisfaction." [via The New York Times]
