We just found these pictures of an amazing lift bridge with an obvious operation, but not-so-obvious location. Let's see if the Jalopnik commentariat know where it is. Update: It's in Leeuwarden, Netherlands.
Based on the number plates of the cars on the road, we're assuming this is somewhere in Europe, but beyond that we don't know. What we do know is the long lever arm and cantilevered weight opposing the floating street surface is a powerfully cool and elegantly simple design. With almost no clue, this episode of Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego might be impossible to solve, but it doesn't stop our curiosity of this bridge.
