As ash rained from the sky, the Nissan 370Z was just unveiled to an exclusive group of enthusiasts in Los Angeles ahead of this week's LA Auto Show. The event was hosted by Edmunds, but we managed to borrow a friend’s GT-R and sneak in; all to bring you these exclusive shots, initial impressions and the exclusive video from Streetfire.net appearing after the jump.

Initial impressions are Nissan’s designers have done a great job thoroughly updating the 370Z. It’s about the same size inside and out, but it looks much more aggressive and more than a bit like a BMW Z4 Coupe around the rear 3/4. The interior, which in the old car was a bit too cheap, has been seriously reworked and should prove a much nicer place to spend time. Oh, and can anyone figure out what the Differential Power Switch does?
