What you're looking at above is the 2010 Hyundai Portico, a large crossover in the mold of the Chrysler Pacifica or Toyota Venza, based on the Portico Concept revealed at the 2005 Chicago Auto Show. Jalopnik reader John grabbed these photos of the Hyundai testing in the high altitudes of Big Bear Lake, California. We're expecting the Portico to be powered by a V6 matched to a six-speed transmission, so as not to compete with the 2009 Hyundai Elantra Touring.
There has been some new information added by AutoWeek, who is reporting that the version that sees production will include two three-person benches with a folding center section for four people. Though we don't think that there's necessarily an overwhelming need for more crossovers, we imagine this will represent slightly more value than an R-Class Mercedes. (Thanks to John for the awesome pictures)
