A 1951 Crosley wagon is cool in that quirky oddity sort of way. But you'll probably want more grunt than the original 26 HP motor. Well you could try to shoehorn in a small block V8, but that would just take away some of the offbeat Crosley charm. So why not use a Harley V-twin? With 110 HP, it's hardly a slouch in the little 1600-lb. wagon. Now the Crosley can cruise Woodward and hang out at Sturgis. Check out the whole build process here.

When I had my Fiat 850 a Harely V-Twin was one of my armchair project ideas. Just for the sound.
That. Is. So. Cool!
What a lovely little real-guy, real-car sorbet after the super, mega $$ hot-rods this morning.
Um, Re: the title - perhaps you meant Davidson? On the plus side, you seem to have nailed the spelling through the rest of the article. (Hurray, my spelling correction and sarcasm quota for the day achieved with one post).
This is so much cooler than the other show cars posted recently. I think this one will actually drive under it's own power.
Why do I have a sudden urge to drop a Ducati 999 motor into a Cinquecento? Anyone?
Just goes to show what a pile of parts, and a few beers can produce. very cool. All it needs now is a V8 bike on a trailer behind it to really freak people out.
The Eldamino posted earlier needs propellers.
Very cool.
My dream bike-engined car would be an early Nueva Cinquecento with a Ducati Twin drivetrain.
This would so go into my personal fantasy garage.
@TomAnderson: Because you are a sick, sick man with some twisted ideas of fun. That being, said, I want to see your odd little Italian lovechild.
That is damn sweet. Except for the trailer wheels. Shoulda stuck with the baby moon.
@TomAnderson: Why settle for a 999 engine? It can't be too long before we see a wrecked Desmosedicci RR, or if you must have a V-twin, you can always shoot for the 1098R engine.
This is the American version of "stick a 'busa in it" import.
@htrodblder: Nah; the V8-powered bike would go in front with the Crosley on a trailer. That'd turn some heads.
This is one classy, classy engine swap. The local Harley shop has a 3/4 scale Ford Roadster kit car that's powered by a Harley twin that they bring out for some of the local shows, and Sturgis. I might have to dig up some photos of that one. Lots of fun possibilities for a torquey bike engine in a little car.
I love the people who saw the possibilities I could not.
Hats off to this guy for a great concept well executed.
That is awesome! Best use of a Harley I've seen in a long time...
...but the elephant-in-the-room questions is:
Will he trailer it to Sturgis?
@SeanKHotay: ...and stop 5 miles from town to drive it in.
This is why life is worth living. It started out with, "I wonder if I could take a..."
I am in awe of the fabbed belt drive between the Harley V-twin and the GM automatic. That's engineering and fabrication skill!
He's got a rockin' little hoonette there!
It's kind of like Penelope Cruz: tinyperfect.
I'm totally inspired now. How difficult do you think it would be to import a Reliant Robin and in drop a Briggs & Stratton Vanguard turbodiesel and Jatco CVT? With 31hp instead of 40, you might actually lose a little performance, but the weird factor would more than off set it.
Good to see something that rusty be restored and not scrapped; especially considering they aren't particularly rare.
"And remember, don't scrap 'em, restore 'em!"
That rocks. I'd drive that, and grin like an idiot the entire time.
@bugattatra: I think that an MV Augusta F4 engine would be better, and keep the quad pipes!
Makes me want to drop a Rocket III engine in a TR3.
