In keeping with our newly-enacted DOTS Truck Monday tradition, we're going with this interesting little Jeep for the last day of 2007. This former mail carrier lives on the same block as the 1966 Lancia Fulvia, and it serves as very practical (except for drive-thru lanes, thanks to right-hand drive) daily driver.

A friend of mine in high school had one of these things, and I recall it being very simple and very bouncy. Avoid speed bumps or you'll spill the mail.


But neither rain, nor sleet, nor snow, nor gloom of night will stay this little green truck from its appointed rounds!


1983 was one of the last years for this vehicle; it's sad that the USPS is down to its last few DJs by now.
