I was holding out for more John Madden ice fishing stories, but they weren't coming, so I turned the TV off.

I wont be able to listen to KITT without thinking everything he is saying is a joke.

Didn't Kitt always refer to Michael as Michael I don't remember ever hearing him say Mike. I seriously can't see this series being anything less of a farce than the first one.

I gotta admit, Will Arnett sounds great. But I still predict failure, the Mustang fits the role like Keanu Reeves in "The Merchant of Venice".

I'm a long time fan of Knight Rider and I must say I am looking forward to seeing this, especially since the creator, Glen A. Larson and David Hasselhoff are together helping out in creating this new series.

I'm sure this show will suck, but Will Arnett was a great choice for the voice.

The Final Countdown would have been a better choice of music for the promo.

Way to make it happen NBC take an ugly car and make it worse. Then have him get lazy and call him Mike in stead of Michael. Next thing there not going to drive up in the back of a trailer on the move.

@Spence: IMDB says this KITT is the "Three Thousand" as opposed to the "Two Thousand" from the original series, so they seem to be different characters who share the same acronym.

That one small clip with KITT's new voice made me think just one thing:

OK, I like the looks of the KITTstang. Still, I have a sinking feeling that the movie is going to be a stinker. On the magnitude of "Dukes of Hazzard Reunion" waste-of-a-perfectly-good-VHS-tape crappiness.

When I hear KITT, all I can think of is Mr. Feeney on that Boy Meets World show.

The new Knight Rider is basically a back door pilot which may or may not get picked up. Don't expect anything until the writers strike is settled, though.

Ok, I loved Arrested Development, but I think every single GOB joke has been used already.

Also, I find the Hoff hilarious, but that hamburger thing is getting old, too.

kitt should of been a 2002 trans am ws6 or firehawk, even if its an older car, it still looks better than that crapstang

@Duffman: I'm sure it's kinda like Commander Data in the Star Trek: Next Gen series, where he wasn't able to pronounce contractions at first, but software upgrades fixed that, along with his lack of a sense of humor.

I'm sure this show won't measure up to the original show's level of awesomeness (no, I can't say that with a straight face), but I know my 14 & 9 yr old sons will be all over this one just as I was all over the original. If & when they see snippets of the original on YouTube, they'll will be laughing at the lameness and wondering how a show like that could've made it .

KI3K (if you'll pardon the butchering) would of course have a different personality from KI2K; "advancements", which if they're smart, they'll draw some direct comparisons to the old show. "Like my predecessor, I can blah blah I'm awesome, but as in improvement in the AI subroutines in my positronic brain [okay, so I'm on a slight Asimov kick], I can also blah blah I'm more awesome than my predecessor."

I am pulling for this movie to be decent and if it is I will gladly watch any subsequent shows.

Also, I really hope they shortened Michael to Mike just so it wouldn't sound too much like dialogue from Arrested Development.

Okay the car looks cool, but what's with the "Hello MIKE?!?" What happened to Michael? What's it going to say to say now? "Yo what's up Mike!" "Wanna be like Mike". Yep, I got a very bad feeling about this also, plus the car's aerodynamics is all wrong especially if they plan on Turbo Boosting it but from looking at the sides of the car I think it's going to Fly then Jump.

I'm sorry everyone, but there are plenty of worty GM vehicles out there that could have been the 'new' KITT. If Michael or i guess "Mike" wants to get somewhere without stalling, they might want to put KITT into something a little better. Trans Am to Ford??? Come on people...
