Looking similar to the Iosis concept Ford unveiled in Frankfurt earlier this year, Ford's new Reflex concept will make its debut in Detroit next week. As AutoWeek reports, the Reflex is powered by a diesel-electric hybrid-drive system — incorporating a lithium-ion battery pack — which Ford says can produce 60 mpg as installed. Designers employed scrapped athletic shoes as an insulative material — called Nike Grind — that reduces noise and vibration in the Reflex s interior and improve its performance in the 50-yard dash.
