It is exactly the car that American gearheads have been drooling over for decades now, the international hot hatchback formula that we got tastes of in things like the Honda Civic Si or the Focus SVT but never really got to sink our teeth into. The Fiesta ST is everything we wanted, everything we clamored for.

And it's excellent and wonderful and perfect, but it may just be too practiced and perfect to have the effervescent ease of a furious, blinding new discovery. It may just be too hip to be cool.
