Crazy Carts aren’t too complicated. They’re just a driven wheel up front, with casters making everything slide. It follows that theoretically you could make a crazy cart out of any front-wheel-drive vehicle. At least, that’s what Hoonigan is trying at the moment.
This is a Volvo V70 wagon, front-wheel drive with a turbo five-cylinder. It’s a fine car, but it would be more fine if it had its back half chopped off and was lifted up from the ground on casters, just enough to slide absolutely everywhere.
That or it will fold under the weight of itself, become a quagmire of a build and end up a total nightmare and waste of time. But we’ll just have to see.
