10.) Lotus Elise

Why It's Whored Out: The Lotus Elise has become synonymous with lightness and ultimate driving dynamics, so it's no wonder everyone and their grandmothers are forking over cash to Lotus for Elise chassis. The Elise's chassis is made from extruded and bonded aluminum and it is extremely light. It seems to be the choice platform for EVs like the Tesla Roadster and the in-development Dodge EV. In addition to this Hennessey used an Elise for its Venom GT franken-monster. Other Lotus Elise chassis-ed vehicles include several Lotus offerings like the Europa and 2-Eleven, the Vauxhall VX220/Opel Speedster, the Rinspeed sQuba, and others.
Yes, it's a hooker, but it's a hooker with a heart of gold.

9.) Fiat 124

Why It's Whored Out: The Fiat 124 was a small family sedan produced from the 1966 to 1974. What makes this car so famous, however, is that it was used as the basis for the Lada, which is still in production today. So we know that in Russia this is a Lada, but in India this is the Premier 118NE and uses a Nissan powertrain. In Spain, the 124 is a SEAT and in Turkey, it is a Tofas Serçe. The list goes on and on.

8.) Isuzu Bighorn/Trooper

Why It's Whored Out: The Isuzu Trooper, also known as the Bighorn worldwide, is a pretty decent midsize SUV and off-road vehicle. Then Isuzu put on its whoring spurs and start putting the Trooper to work. In America, this was the Trooper and the Acura SLX and in Colombia, the car was the Chevrolet Trooper. In Japan, the car was sold under the Bighorn name by both Isuzu and Subaru and Honda sold the car as the Horizon. The UK and Europe saw the Vauxhall Monterey and Opel Monterey and Australia and New Zealand had the Holden Jackaroo.

7.) Mitsubishi GS/Chrysler JS/PM/MK

Why It's Whored Out: Oh no Evo X owners! You're actually driving a car based on the current generation Sebring! All right, all right, so maybe Sebring's JS platform is slightly modified from the GS after Mitsubishi and DaimlerChrysler split but no matter, they're the same in meine Augen. The GS platform was first used in the Mitsubishi Outlander, as well as in the Proton Inspira, Citroën C-Crosser/Peugeot 4007, and the modified JS/PM/MK platforms were used in the Chrysler Sebring, Dodge Caliber, Jeep Compass, and Dodge Journey. From now on, the next time you see a douchey Lancer Evolution X owner, tell him he's driving a Sebring at heart.

6.) Ford D3/Volvo P2

Why It's Whored Out: This was originally Volvo's platform, which was the basis for the S80, S60, V70, XC70, and XC90. These are produced in Torslanda, Sweden. Then Ford came along and borrowed it and began to pimp it out for use in its vehicles. The now revised and cheaper D3 platform is used in the Five Hundred, Freestyle Crossover, Mercury Montego, 2008 Taurus, and so on. Will there be more? Maybe. Ford has dressed up, revised, the D3 platform, called it the D4 platform, and is using it in the new Explorer, the Flex, and the Lincoln MKT.

5.) GM GMT360

Why It's Whored Out: This is one of GM's most whored out products, being frequented by six different marques. I'll disagree, but I will say that this platform gets around. The cars using this platform are the GMC Envoy, the Chevy Trailblazer, Oldsmobile Bravada, Isuzu Ascender, Buick Rainier, Saab 9-7x, and Chevy SSR. That's nearly every GM brand twice, damn!

4.) GM J body

Why It's Whored Out: Ah, the J platform, GM's selection for cheap, front-wheel drive cars. This is the only GM platform to be used in all 5 of GM's original divisions. It was used in production from 1982 to 2005, quite a long time. We all know that here in the U.S. the J body formed the base for the Chevy Cavalier, the horrible Cadillac Cimarron, and Pontiac Sunfire. Internationally, the J body was used for the Opel Ascona, the Vauxhall Cavalier, the Isuzu Aska, the Toyota Cavalier, and the Daewoo Espero among just a few.

3.) Ford Fox Body

Why It's Whored Out: When you say Fox body, many hear Mustang 5.0 and yes, that's the most popular usage of the platform. It was produced for 16 years and was designed to be light, RWD and quite simple. Indeed it was, but boy did it get around. It was used in the Ford Fairmont and Mercury Zephyr (including wagons), LTD, followed by the Mustang, Capri, Thunderbird, Cougar, and many more.

2.) Volkswagen Group A5/PQ35

Why It's Whored Out: I was parking my car when I noticed there were two cars parked in a row. It was a VW Tiguan and an Audi Q3. They were the same car and that's because they share the A5 platform, Volkswagen's platform for many of its compact and mid-size cars. The list consists of the Volkswagen Golf, Audi A3, SEAT León, Škoda Yeti, and some other vehicles. The platform is supposed to be modular and extremely flexible for optimal whoring.
1.) GM T Body

Why It's Whored Out: GM's T platform was designed for subcompacts and, thanks to the 70s, it gained the title of the world's most whored out platform. The list of cars based on the T platform is extremely long and not even worth mentioning. If you're really curious, I suggest you do a quick Wikipedia search or I can do it for you, lazy. The strangest thing though is seeing the distinct Isuzu Impulse in a sea of subcompact boring.
