This weekend, the ALMS went over to VIR for one last time before the big series merger next year. Before the race, Corvette Racing's Tommy Milner took a lap in a 2014 Corvette Stingray. And yes, of course there are GoPros on the car.
This isn't a super hot lap or record run, but it's a great way to learn the track. I drove VIR on Sunday (more on that to come), and this video would have been an immense help to learn the track faster than I did.
Too bad this was released today.
Milner also mentions the famed Oak Tree Corner, which is now without Oak Tree after it fell earlier this year. Of course, VIR's legendary Oak Tree is still gone, but the rumor this weekend was that they're going to plant a new one for future generations to enjoy. Great news.
