Heuliez Intruder front 3/4 view
Image: Bonhams

Coinciding with this weekend’s Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix and taking advantage of the fact that a bunch of rich car folks would be in town, Bonhams held a high-end car auction. The results were, uh, not great, but one lot in particular was truly unique, and managed to find a new home. The only 1996 Heuliez Intruder Convertible crossed the block and went for a somewhat reasonable $72,800. At first glance this might look like a lifted SL-Class or something, but you might be surprised to learn it’s a totally unique coachbuilt body on a G-wagen chassis. - Bradley Brownell Read More

Wrecked McLaren Senna
Image: Insurance Auto Auctions

Showboating in a car when you don’t know what you’re doing is dumb. Trying to show off in a six-figure hypercar and wrecking because of it is even worse. That’s what happened when one YouTuber tried to be cool and ended up wrecking his recently acquired, one-of-one McLaren Senna. Now that wrecked Senna is sitting at a Los Angeles auto auction awaiting a sale. - Lawrence Hodge Read More

2002 Pontiac Aztek

I’ve mentioned what it’s like coming to automotive realizations before. One of the biggest realizations is coming to terms with the fact that the Pontiac Aztek isn’t as bad as it was made out to be when they were new. In fact, if it were put on the market today the Aztek would probably be pretty successful thanks to its crossover practicality, which has led some to seek out old Azteks and buy or flip them. It also means there’s some examples out there with silly prices, as a recent Facebook Marketplace find shows. - Lawrence Hodge Read More

The seller of today’s Nice Price or No Dice Jag attributes its high mileage to a prior owner who used it for trips between San Diego and Boise, Idaho. That means it’s a suitable cruiser, but will its price let it cruise to a win? - Rob Emslie Read More

Today’s Nice Price or No Dice Mercury Grand Marquis Brougham should not be confused with Donatien Alphonse François, better known as the Marquis de Sade and a world-renowned weirdo. Now that we have that clear, let’s see what the car might be worth. - Rob Emslie Read More

Today’s Nice Price or No Dice Miata isn’t just a hoot to look at. Lifting the boot lid with its hard-mounted spare tire means never worrying about skipping arm day at the gym, too. Let’s decide if it also has a can’t-skip price. - Rob Emslie Read More

Some of the coolest and weirdest cars from the late-1900s are up for auction right now, but I can promise you won’t find a good deal among them. Multi-hyphenate music star Pharrell Williams started an auction company recently, called Joopiter, and has teamed up with New York high-end car collection business Morton Street Partners for a small-but-heavy-hitting auction of rare and exciting rad-era motors, called Joopiter Joy Ride. It’s equal parts incredible cars and insufferable celebrity bullshit. - Bradley Brownell Read More

Working at a Mitsubishi dealer has to be as boring as working at a paint or mattress store — there’s just nothing really interesting to sell. Other than the recently redesigned (and pretty good) Outlander and its PHEV variant, Mitsubishi dealers have only the fourteen-year-old Outlander Sport, the blasphemous Eclipse Cross and the Mirage sedan and hatchback. - Lawrence Hodge Read More
