Remember the "Dragon Design Concept" Jeep Wrangler that Chrysler pulled the cover off at last year's Beijing Auto Expo?

No?

Well in case you were looking to spend thirty-six grand on your halloween costume, Jeep has excitedly announced they're bringing the Wrangler Dragon Edition to US showrooms for the 2014 model year this fall.

Mike Manley, President and CEO – Jeep Brand, Chrysler Group LLC says:

“When we introduced the Jeep Wrangler Dragon Design Concept last year, we received tremendously positive feedback,” said . “Our loyal Jeep enthusiasts asked us to build this unique Wrangler, and we are delivering exactly what they’ve asked for. The new 2014 Jeep Wrangler Dragon Edition boasts a stunning, unique, upscale design with styling cues that make it unlike any Wrangler ever seen before.”

While it is awesome that the CEO of Jeep has a name like a GI Joe action figure, the fact that he got "tremendously positive feedback" on a gold-trimmed Dragon-graphic'ed Wrangler makes me think he might be a victim of misunderstood sarcasm.

Here's a visual tour of the 'Dragon in all it's scaly glory:

I do think the four door Wrangler is pretty cool. But one with leather seats is silly, and when you add dragons to every flat surface (hood heat shield?) I just don't know what to say.

Well, at least that's one guy Mr. Manley can put down for a pre-order.
