Jaguar's Working On More Paces

There’s the Jaguar F-Pace, the E-Pace, and the I-Pace, all outgrowths of Jag’s decades-old slogan: “Grace, space, pace.” Possibly adding to that list, in the next few years: the C-Pace, a nameplate recently trademarked by Jaguar in Europe.

You can view the trademark application here, though it doesn’t tell you much, except that, broadly, Jaguar has applied to trademark the C-Pace name for a variety of uses, from “computer hardware” to “motor vehicles” to “virtual reality software.”

But I’m guessing if C-Pace ever materializes it’ll be a car and not a laptop, though what kind of car? Possibly a C-for-coupe version of the fast-selling F-Pace, which would be in the same segment as the Porsche Cayenne coupe recently spotted testing.

There’s also a J-Pace coming too, apparently. Do we need another crossover “coupe?” The question answers itself.

A spokesman for Jaguar said, “We don’t comment on future product speculation.”
