How To Make Your Own 'They Might Be Giants' Monster Hearse

After watching the new They Might Be Giants music video you may have been overcome with an irrepressible urge to go out and make a pink Cadillac hearse monster truck. Here's how to do it.

Yes! In just fourteen easy steps you can have a "When Will You Die" commemorative Monster Hearse of your own. All you have to do is download the free They Might Be Giants official .pdf here, print the document at a mere 3400% magnification and follow the surprisingly simple step-by-step instructions.

Step 1: Print out the instructions, which also include the paper guides for your Monster Hearse.

Step 2: Cut out the pink body of the Monster Hearse and fold along the dotted lines.

Step 3: Glue the body pieces together.

Step 4: Repeat Steps 2 and 3 for the undercarriage, then do the same for the wheels. These parts are kind of complicated, so you'll want to read the illustrated, official 14-step instruction document for this.

Step 5: Attach the wheels to the undercarriage with two poster tube-axles. Just fit the body to the undercarriage and wheels and you're done!*

*Please follow official They Might Be Giants instructions for building your Monster Hearse. Our steps should just give you an idea how straightforward the real thing is going to be.

If you don't feel like acquiring 6,000 square feet of cardboard, you can always make a Monster Hearse in miniature. We'll still be impressed.

Whether you build the 12 foot tall life-size version or one you can fit on a turntable, take pictures, make a video and let us see your handmade creation.
