Ever since I first saw Porsche 944s and 924s on stage rallies, I have needed to take my 944 in the dirt. It is a manual. It has rear-wheel-drive. It has been stripped out and caged. I should find a new under-engine shield for the Porsche and rip sweet dirt tails. Let me show you why: this looks like a blast.
Here is a “late” (post-1985.5, for you cheap Porsche connoisseurs) naturally aspirated Porsche 944 ripping it up at an SCCA rallycross event. It gets sideways. Look at all the countersteering! His hands are all over the place! Look at it! Isn’t it magnificent?
This is a video of a 944 living its best life and I’ve never been so angry that I’m doing anything besides hooning in the dirt as I am right now.
