After much denial of its existence, the 2018 Porsche 911 GT2 RS finally, officially dropped on Friday at the 2017 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
This is yet another 911 that’s old but also new. It’s old in that it’s a 991.2 911. They all look the goddamn same. It’s new in that it’s a GT2 RS: the most powerful 911 to date and fitted with the largest-section rear tires on any 911 ever (325). Black stripes, a big wing and holes cut into its body make sure you know it’s a Fast Car, in case you ever forget.
Journalists and influencers alike swarmed around the car, intent on snapping photos of it and getting a better look. I was no exception. I got in close to the thing. Real close. Here are some more pictures.
