Except the bigots screaming about DEI are a small (albeit loud) group.  Most people support diversity.  And if Ford looked at past examples of this (Bud Light throwing trans people under the bus, Target dialing back their pride offerings, Harley also abandoning DEI policies), other companies alienated way more decent Read more

I honestly don’t see how doing anything but ignoring the few internet idiots makes any sense for any of these companies. Of course any corporation is going to make some sort of business decision around “which of these choices will make us more money” and choose to alienate the smaller group - I’m not naive enough to Read more

There has been a solid push by right wing activists to go after DEI.  Boards and Execs are all republicans generally so the minute they thought they had cover, they did.  Rich White Men were never going to actually champion dei.   Read more

When Ford adopts DEI policies, it’s about making more money. When they abandon DEI policies, it’s about making more money. They don’t care either way, they just want to maximize shareholder value. This should not surprise anyone. Read more

Disappointed in you, Ford. You had the choice between helping people or hurting people, and you choice to hurt. You had the chance to stand up to hate or agree with it, and you agreed with it. You had the chance to take away these bigots power by simply ignoring them, but you chose to give them credibility. Read more

It always struck me as weird to celebrate one’s connection with, not mere traitors, not even traitors who fought to continue enslaving other humans, but traitorous enslavers who got their asses kicked six ways from Sunday. You’re celebrating a bunch of losers, in every sense of the word.  Every time you see someone Read more

Socialist much? Those kids should band together and buy their own AC if they want it so much! They’ll just have to give up avocado toast and get an extra job. Read more

I dunno, Texas... If you care about those kids, maybe you should mandate AC in school buses? In one of the hottest areas of the country? Maybe that’s a good idea? Read more

Our bus driver would just pull over if we got too rowdy and wait for us to settle down. She always had the windows down on hot days though and drove the living hell out of that bus lol. Still remember her name, Wendy, had her from elementary all the way through Highschool graduation, she was good bus driver. Read more

Shoot, I’d hate for you to “loose” your cool in the classroom. But I’m sure those kids will deserve it when you snap, eh? Read more

You gotta be drunk to put with all those kids. Like my bus drivers back in the day.

Unpopular opinion I know but I would take all of these over my wife’s 2023 Escape interior. I specifically buy cars of this era because of the cheaply made feel and buttons. Easier to tear apart, replace, and the costs are cheaper. That’s just me, but when my volume control knob went out on my 2010 Odyssey it cost me Read more

I felt the same. This isn’t really “cheap recession-era trash”, this is more just how car interiors generally looked during that era. You could do the same slideshow with the goofy 80s boxy gauge clusters/dashes and how those looked strange out of context. I had an RSX-S for quite a while that I loved the interior on, Read more
