Good luck on your trip!
Some of my friends recently drove EVs to the arctic from the Netherlands. No charging issues. Range anxiety in most of the world is fictional, it’s a bit like pretending there’s something under your bed.
Depends where you are - massively common in Europe.
Are you unhinged, my friend? We all plug our heckin phones in at night.
To be fair, almost zero automakers make their own batteries. (Maybe NIO?)
There currently are some high density flow batteries - unfortunately they achieve ten times the standard density by using lithium ion and are still woefully behind the density of any large scale chemical battery. Read more
It would be a beautiful consensus between us.
This was a statistical point myself and editorial disagreed on. I think they aren’t, they think they are. We both had sources. To conclude, as an old millennial: who knows what we are doing.
Earlier this week I tweeted some Magic:The Gathering F1 cards. I’ve been here.
You’re absolutely right - and price point is a huge issue for EVs, which goes along with availability. Once the big European markets fall I can’t promise it’s gonna change in the US but it will bring a shift. China’s going and India’s converting but their markets have rarely affected the west except that batteries are… Read more

They’ve been doing powertrains in FE for three… Read more
Yep - but the battery takes up potentially much less room and the e-axle is minute. You could make a sports off-roader that properly looked like an Ironman car with this.
Well indeed - it’s got a lot more in common with an ICE than most powertrains, structurally....
My dude I’m a freelance journalist who spends most of my time dehydrated, sleep deprived, hungry and jetlagged beyond comprehension. At least for being CEO you get the big bucks.
To be fair and taking things wholly seriously, I think DS may eventually come up with something around the right range for you. I also think you might like the NISMO Leaf, which I would pretty much do anything to have one of - they’re screamingly exciting, like getting your first bangaround but with all the stuff… Read more
I appreciate your loyalty across two different sites. I have some good news for you from McLaren later.
Did you not hear? I am selling them to Norway. Those guys have moose and it costs fifteen dollars for a beer, they’ll be fine.
